About Mark M. Storer, DDS
Dr. Storer is a 1976 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and obtained his doctorate in General Dentistry from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1980. Upon graduating, he completed a residency program in Hospital Dentistry at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 1981. Dr. Storer was an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis at Loyola University School of Dentistry and, for the past 37 years, has been a member of the Medical Staff of Resurrection Medical Center, where he has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and is currently Chairman of the Section of Dental Services. He is also a member of the Credentials Committee and the By-laws Committee as well. Dr. Storer also serves as a clinical instructor and attending dentist in the residency program of the Department of Emergency Medicine and is a guest lecturer for the Department of Family Practice. He is an active member of the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and a guest member of the American Association of Family Practice Physicians. Dr. Storer is a member of the Illinois State Dental Foundation For Dentist Well Being and has lectured extensively on drug and alcohol abuse in the dental profession. He was recently a featured speaker at the 144th Midwinter Meeting of the Chicago Dental Society, where he presented a lecture on Substance Abuse and the Dentist. He was also recently interviewed by the dental journal ""Dental Products Review"" for his thoughts on substance abuse in dentistry. He has also lectured at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry, and the American Dental Association's Conference on Well Being.
