About Mark A. Stiff, MD
Mark A. Stiff, M.D. has become one of the leading Mohs surgeons in Michigan. He earned an undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Akron and began his medical studies at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed three years of intensive general surgical training with an emphasis on plastic surgery at Akron General Medical Center within the Northeastern Ohio College of Medicine system. Soon after, he completed his dermatology residency at Wayne State University. Dr. Stiff was privileged to obtain his Mohs surgical fellowship training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, under the tutelage of Dr. Mohs, Snow and Larson. Taking his newly acquired expertise back to Michigan, Dr. Stiff established the Mohs surgical division within the Wayne State University Department of Dermatology, where he currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor, actively teaching residents in training. Dr. Stiff is certified by and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery which was originally established by Dr. Mohs in 1967. Furthermore, he is a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Stiff’s other professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Medical Association and the Michigan Dermatological Society.
