About Mark Emerson, DDS
I spend my days working with a team of compassionate, dedicated professionals, all of us dedicated to helping our patients achieve excellent dental health and smiles that boost their self-esteem. Our office is filled with laughter and smiles. Nothing makes us happier than a new patient who tells us that we’ve made him or her feel welcome and safe during the visit. We work hard to ease worries and ensure every procedure goes smoothly so our patients feel positive about returning! The San Diego community is diverse and complex; it’s exciting to get to know people’s stories and share in their lives. Whether I’m joking with a toddler at the first visit or with an adult to restore or improve his or her smile, I appreciate having time to listen to and learn from the person. My team and I know that open, clear communication, and listening without judging, shows our patients that we care. It also gives us insight into how we can best help each person to achieve the healthiest, most wonderful smile, and fosters a bond of trust and respect.I graduated from the University of Southern California with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery about 40 years ago. There have been incredible advances in the field since I completed dental school, and I’ve stayed current on the changes. Continuing education is part of my commitment to my patients. By constantly expanding my skills and knowledge, I provide the most up-to-date treatment options and technology for positive experiences and results. I’ve studied Invisalign®, an orthodontic treatment that uses fully customized clear aligners to improve smiles, as well as CEREC® same-day tooth restorations, in order to serve my patients.I’ve been a San Diegan since 1979. My wife Sharon is a professional ballroom dance instructor. We have been married for more than three decades and have two grown sons, four dogs, and two pet birds, and live in the Clairemont area. I enjoy my free time with loved ones and like playing tennis and ballroom dancing.
