About Margaret S. Ravits, MD
Dr. Margaret Ravits is a caring, experienced, board-certified dermatologist who treats patients of all ages. She has received many awards for her expertise as a dermatologist. Dr. Ravits has been quoted as a dermatology expert in the media and peer-reviewed publications. Along with her private practice, Dr. Ravits is a Senior Attending at Hackensack University Medical Center where she previously served as the Chief of the Division of Dermatology for twenty-two years. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at NY-Presbyterian Hospital where she devotes her time each week to supervising the dermatology residents who treat patients in the clinic. She was honored to be voted Teacher of the Year four times by the dermatology residents. Dr. Ravits graduated from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland where she was elected to the National Chemistry Honor Society (John Hopkins Chapter). Dr. Ravits obtained her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, New York, where she would later serve as the Associate Chief of Dermatology. In addition, Dr. Ravits completed a fellowship in dermatology at NY-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Dr. Ravits is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the North Jersey Dermatological Society, Bergen County Medical Society, the Skin Cancer Foundation, the National Psoriasis Foundation, and the National Rosacea Society. In her free time, Dr. Ravits enjoys biking, working out at the gym, taking photos, travelling, and spending time with her family.
