About Marcus Higgins, DMD

Marcus Higgins, DMD, is a general and cosmetic dentist with more than than 15 years of experience practicing dentistry. He has resided in Florida since 2003, and he considers it an honor and a privilege to serve his community at Higgins Dental in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Higgins earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in Lexington, Kentucky, where he also attained his undergraduate degree in biology. He completed his residency while serving in the United States Air Force and is proud to have served our nation. Dr. Higgins is drawn to dentistry because he loves seeing what a dramatic difference oral healthcare can make in every part of a person’s life. He’s especially passionate about restorations, and he finds it immensely rewarding to fix patients’ smiles, whether they’re missing one tooth or need a full-mouth restoration. Dr. Higgins is committed to continued education as a dentist, so he can provide the best possible care for his patients using the latest techniques, technologies, and products. He’s an active member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association, and he takes full advantage of the educational and networking opportunities they offer. When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Higgins enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Linda, who’s also a dentist, and his sons, Hartley and Holden. He also has a passion for travel, physical fitness, nutrition, and mixed martial arts.
