About Luis E. Martinez, DMD
Dr. Martinez is proud to be among the top one percent of dentists recognized for their excellence in aesthetic dentistry. Treating those with basic restorations or extensive dental reconstructive needs as well as those seeking a new beautiful smile, or treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Martinez has made a commitment to provide his family of patients the comfortable, quality care they deserve, as well as those seeking a new beautiful smile, or treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. After completing his undergraduate prerequisites at The University of South Florida, Dr. Martinez received his doctorate in dentistry from the University of Florida in 1985, and has since been in private practice in Saint Petersburg. Dr. Martinez continues to attend educational courses nationally. Among these include the world renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. His studies at LVI include completion of the Advanced Program in Aesthetic Care. He has also completed neuromuscular training at LVI, and has studied at The Scottsdale Center for Dentistry. Staying current in the latest technology and advances in dentistry, Dr. Martinez takes great pride in providing the best the field has to offer in creating every personalized smile. Dr. Martinez is an active member of the West Coast Dental Association, the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and has served as Peer Review Chairman for the Pinellas County Dental Association for over 15 years. Dr. Martinez believes in individualized care and is genuinely interested in the well-being of every patient. Dr. Martinez is fluent in Spanish and uses this as an effective tool for communicating and making all patients feel welcome. While Dr. Martinez strives to incorporate the latest in dental technology and current standards into his practice, he also firmly believes in the importance of personally tending to each patient's individual needs. Dr. Martinez and his staff work to create a professional, comfortable, personal environment for every one of their patients. Throughout his day, Dr. Martinez treats only one patient at a time. Dr. Martinez feels that all patients should be treated with respect and deserves quality appointments that are completed in a timely manner. When Dr. Martinez is not creating a new smile, he and his wife, Lauren, are enjoying their three beautiful daughters, Alex, Haley and Sydney.
