About Lorraine D. Hanna, DDS
With many years of experience working closely with patients in and around Kalamazoo, Dr. Hanna knows how to fulfill smile wishes and address concerns with tact and compassion. Dr. Hanna earned her dental degree from the University of Michigan and began practicing dentistry in 1991. As a lifelong learner, she continues to expand her knowledge on cutting-edge dental techniques. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry – further evidence that she is committed to understanding the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. (Only 6% of general dentists in North America are part of this elite group.) In addition, she is a member of several dental organizations and also has accomplished a Fellowship in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Dr. Lorraine is also active in Donated Dental Services, providing dental care to those less fortunate. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to make a difference in the lives of others,” she says. She is married to Mike and together they are proud parents to their daughter, Sara. When she isn’t at the office, Dr. Hanna spends her days with her family, as a caring wife and mom. She enjoys traveling, fishing, photography, and gardening. She has played the harp, piano, and handbells, and served as president of the board of directors at Zion Lutheran Church as well as having been president of several dental organizations.
