About Leslie K. Bonar, DDS
Dr. Bonar has loved being a general cosmetic dentist since 1984. She served in Desert Storm and in the United States Navy, where she received extensive training in Restorative Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Sedation. This experience created a profound commitment to deliver comfortable and predictable dental treatment. She made the choice to begin serving patients of all ages in Escondido across from Palomar Hospital. Her main focus for over 30 years has been health centered, minimally invasive, preventive, and cosmetic dental care. In the past 10 years, Dr. Bonar has received additional certification in Cosmetic Dentistry, Aesthetics and Laser Dentistry. Dr. Bonar feels especially passionate about treating the patient attached to the teeth. Both Dr. Basso and Dr. have DOCS Sedation Certification by the #1 sedation organization in the country. Oral Sedation, Nitrous Oxide Sedation and General Anesthesia are ALL SAFE protocols for helping our valued patients complete their Cosmetic and Restorative Dental goals. She has been a longtime member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. Being a disabled Veteran herself, she started the “Smiles for Heroes” Program, providing dental care for local Veterans in need, inspired by Gary Sinise and his foundation. She and her family love living in Escondido and being a part of the community. She loves her family, running, biking, scuba diving and ALL animals!
