About Lawrence C. Cheung, MD, FAAD, FASDS
Dr. Lawrence Cheung, MD specialize in medical dermatology and I have an interest in eczema and psoriasis. I completed a fellowship in psoriasis and phototherapy under Dr. John Koo at UCSF back in 2002. I am proud that my clinic is one of the few clinics in the Bay Area that offers both narrow band UVB phototherapy and excimer laser treatment for photoresponsive skin diseases. I currently treat eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, granuloma annulare, and mycosis fungoides via these treatment modalities. While my clinical interest lies in dermatology, I have a deep passion for health care policy. I currently work to improve public health through organizations such as the San Francisco Medical Society, California Medical Association, and American Medical Association, to promote sound public health policy at a local and national level. I currently serve as a mayoral appointed commissioner for San Francisco Health Authority, which administers the various managed Medi-Cal programs in San Francisco.
