About Larry E. Urry, MD

Board certified in Dermatology for over 30 years, Dr Urry has committed his career to providing the Salt Lake area with the highest quality dermatologic care. Dr Urry is devoted to his patients. taking the time and effort to listen to each of their concerns, ensuring their satisfaction and well-being. Further demonstrating his knowledge and commitment to his patients' care and well-being, Dr Urry is also Board certified in Internal Medicine for over 30 years, allowing Dr Urry to give much more accurate diagnoses and provide more effective treatments than other dermatologists. Dr. Larry E. Urry received his medical degree from the University of Utah Medical School in 1975, spending all of his college years on the Dean's List. He completed his internship at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii, after which immediately began his military career, using his education and experioence to become Military Chief, Physician in Charge medicine at the Germersheim Medical Clinic. Upon his return to the United States he completed his residency for Ineternal Medicine in 1984, and Dermatology in 1988, both at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center. After completing both residencies, Dr. Urry continued his military career as Chief of Dermatology for the prestigious Military Academy at West Point. In 1990, Dr. Urry became the Chief of Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Riverside, CA. After 8 years, Dr. Urry endeavored into private practice focusing on educational, preventative, cosmetic and surgical care of his patients. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Urry treats all types of skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, and skin lesions (both benign and malignant). In addition to his excellent diagnostic skills, he has excessive laser experience with medical and cosmetic lasers and light treatment therapies.
