About Kevin J. Schmidt, DDS
Dr. Schmidt completed pre-dental undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, and then received his dental degree from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1985 graduating with honors. From the beginning of his dental career, Dr. Schmidt has always used the philosophy of putting his patients first. This is exemplified by his overwhelming concern for their comfort, ensuring that each patient receives gentle and compassionate dental care. He involves patients in decisions regarding their personalized, comprehensive care that will achieve the results they desire. Dr. Schmidt routinely attends continuing education courses, stating I believe it is very important to stay current with the best proven technologies which can provide for better quality, and more efficient care for our patients. After thirty years of practicing dentistry, I still really enjoy practicing dentistry knowing we can provide the best dental care for our patients. Beyond the field of dentistry, Dr. Schmidt has raised a family and pursues a wide range of activities from athletics to the arts. My family has always been important. Raising my three sons has been one of the joys of my life. His sons are all now young adults pursuing professional careers. Athletically, Dr. Schmidt has had the good fortune to participate in a variety of activities. He has run marathons, including the Boston Marathon, bicycled through parts of Europe and enjoys back packing with his sons. Currently, Dr. Schmidt enjoys mountain biking on trails around the Ann Arbor area. Artistically, Dr. Schmidt creates art in several mediums. As you walk through our office you will see displayed Dr. Schmidt’s own original artwork. Featured are framed watercolor paintings and hand blown glass. His talent as an artist transcends to his dentistry, making him an accomplished, skillful practitioner. Dr. Schmidt is able to restore teeth to a functional level, and also make them attractive, and natural looking.
