About Ken Smart
Dr. Ken Smart is a native of Dallas, TX. He received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Texas A&M University. He then completed a five-year general surgery residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, where he was an instructor of surgery and elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Following residency, Dr. Smart was awarded a two-year specialty fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Ken Smart, M.D., is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. To achieve certification as both a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Smart completed five years of general surgery training following medical school. He then completed an additional two years of specialized training and rigorous examination in plastic and reconstructive surgery, which is required beyond the surgical residency. After seven years of surgical training, Ken Smart, M.D., is more than capable of handling many of the most challenging procedures and complex cases.
