About Josephine Oguntimein, DDS
Dr. Josephine Oguntimein has been practicing dentistry for nearly 40 years in Washington, D.C. She has had the privilege of treating the grandchildren of some of her first patients. A native of Nigeria, she graduated from the School of Dentistry at the University of Ibadan in 1981. She served as a dental instructor at the School of Dentistry at Obafemi Awolowo University for four years before attending Howard University’s College of Dentistry. At Howard University's College of Dentistry, Dr. Oguntimein earned a postgraduate certificate in pediatric dentistry. She became a licensed dentist in the District of Columbia in 1992. Despite primarily focusing on pediatrics, Dr. Oguntimein’ s skillset has expanded to include orthodontics, general, and cosmetic dentistry. Loved by her patients for her “soft hands” and bedside manner, she is seen as not only a dentist but a trusted advisor and counselor to her patients. Dr. Oguntimein has been married for over 25 years and is the proud mother of three adult children. In her spare time, Dr. Oguntimein serves on the board of several charitable organizations and enjoys attending concerts and her bi-weekly Zumba classes.
