About Joseph Blum, DMD
Dr. Blum has expertise in numerous dental procedures with a particular specialization in oral surgery, implant surgery and restoration, regenerative procedures, and complex endodontics (including anterograde retreats). For the last 16 years, he has been practicing interdisciplinary dentistry in private practice. He is a Diplomate (Board Certified) of the American Board of Oral Implantology an honor which only 28 dentists in NYS (350 nationwide) have accomplished, specialists included. I do 99.9% of all dentoalveolar surgical dentistry (-including but not limited to Wisdom teeth, implants, sinus lifts, Grafts, GBR, GTR, and all periodontal surgeries). He brings the combined experience and education of an implantologist, periodontist, oral surgeon, and prosthodontist in addition to having performed these specialized procedures for the past 10 years. He is originally from Lido Beach, NY and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (Farmington, CT) with the Sigma Xi Award for original research in Bone Biology. He trained at the residency program at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine graduating with special training in Oral Surgery and Emergency Care. After residency, Dr. Joseph completed 3 years of advanced training in Implantology at New York University Dental School in addition to the program in Cosmetic Rehabilitation at University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Joseph is uniquely qualified to render both implant and cosmetic procedures having obtained University-based certification in both areas. Over the last 15 years Dr. Joseph has received thousands of hours of continuous training and experience in the areas of oral surgery, implantology, endodontics, and prosthetic/cosmetic rehabilitation.
