About Jonathan Rasmussen, DDS
Dr. Jonathan Rasmussen grew up in the Salt Lake area. He has been around dentistry his whole life. His father has practiced as a general dentist in Salt Lake for nearly forty years. He also has a brother-in-law who is a dentist, another brother-in-law who owns a dental lab and a sister who is in dental sales. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Rasmussen moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he completed dental school. He graduated dental school with honors and distinction and desired to further his education and specialize in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. At the completion of dental school, Dr. Rasmussen accepted a residency position at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Rasmussen had the opportunity to perfect his trade under the direction of some of the most well respected professionals in the field of prosthodontics. After the four additional years of training in Minnesota, Dr. Rasmussen and his family decided it was time to move back home to Salt Lake City and open his prosthdontic practice. Dr. Rasmussen has lectured and presented locally as well as nationally and has had multiple articles published in scientific journals. He is also a member of the Utah Dental Association, American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontics and American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.
