Cassell began his dental career at Loma Linda University, where he received his Doctorate and was recognized for his outstanding performance in oral pathology, anesthesia, and pediatric dentistry. Before getting his dental training, he received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Pacific Union College. Dr. Cassell continues to enhance his dental skills by attending high level continuing education courses, including postdoctoral training from the prestigious Pankey Institute. When he has time off, Dr. Cassell participates in community outreach programs such as Toastmasters and Rotary Community Service Club. He also volunteers to work with the students at Nazareth Catholic School in San Diego.
