About John P. Vicaretti, DDS
Dr. John Vicaretti graduated from the University of Rochester with a BS in Microbiology and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He completed his General Dentistry Residency at the Buffalo General Hospital prior to returning home to Rochester. Wanting to practice close to where he grew up, he converted a house into an office in 1988 and opened his practice. He also worked at several nursing homes taking care of residents needs while the office was just starting to grow. Even now Dr. John continues to work in several long term care facilities. He is a member of The American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Association, The Seventh District Dental Society, The Monroe County Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists and The Appolonia Dental Study Club. Shortly after completing his training, he married and had three children. Dr. Vicaretti is originally from Rochester. His parents immigrated to Rochester in the late 50's from Italy. He speaks Italian, which he uses to his advantage in the office. His hobbies include gardening and his yard, sports (Go Giants), and he is a former president of the Rochester Numismatic Association (coin collecting). He loves Geocaching, camping, and values his family time the most.
