He has attended hundreds of hours of implant continuing education with some of the greats in the field like Maurice Salama and Palo Malo. Dr. Minalt even developed a system for sharpening dental implant drills that was later sold to another vendor. Dr. Minalt is passionate about implant dentistry and strives to treat each case individually and not make each case fit a one sized template corporate approach. Dr. Minalt has a Fellowship from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the premier credentialing and education provider in the field of dental Implants. Dr. Minalt also completed a hospital-based general anesthesia residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Dr. Minalt is a leader in the dental field of IV Sedation and is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a Diplomat of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia. Dr. Minalt is a Past President of Illinois State Dental Anesthesia Society and has presented lectures on Dental Anesthesia to local and state groups. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of Conscious Sedation, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. “I have over 25 years of experience in all types of dental implant placement and restoration and have an extremely high rate of success, even in the most difficult cases. Dental implants are not a ‘one size fits all’ corporate dentistry procedure. They require experience, training, understanding and compassion for each patient’s unique situation. I strongly recommend anyone considering dental implants to research the dentist’s experience, credentials, and their ability to perform the procedure. This will make for a positive experience and outcome that will last for many, many years.” When not in the office, Dr. Minalt enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, fishing, cycling, and fixing things around his home.
