About John R. Melanson, DMD
Dr. Melanson was born in Bristol and lived there most of his life. He went to local Bristol public schools. Dr. Melanson received his B.S. degree in Biology from Trinity College in Hartford. Later he studied at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington where he received his D.M.D. He has been in private practice for over twenty-five years. Dr. Melanson has been in his Bristol office since 2005. He recognizes the importance of keeping current with new dental advances, so as an ongoing process he takes continuing education courses far in excess of the mandatory requirements required by the State. Dr. Melanson is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and local dental society.
