About Johannes P. Knueppel, DDS
Dr. Johannes completed his Bachelor of Science at UC Davis where he studied biochemistry and molecular biology. He then received his doctorate in dentistry from UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Johannes is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Mateo Country Dental Society (SMCDS) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Johannes moved to the United States when he was in tenth grade. He was introduced to dentistry in high school by going on a dental missions project to Haiti. In the past years Dr. Johannes has continued to participate in other dental missions projects to countries such as Mexico, Malawi, Honduras, China, Haiti and most recently Kenya in July 2012. Dr. Johannes is committed to staying current with the latest technologies and advances in dentistry by attending continuing education courses. He has successfully completed the White Cap Guided Implant Residency Program and has taken courses in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is a member of Spear Study club, which focuses on advanced comprehensive dental care. In his free time Dr. Johannes enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie and two sons Lukas and Benjamin. He also likes to play tennis and ultimate frisbee as well as going hiking and backpacking. His family is also involved with Central Peninsula Church.
