About Joel D. Singer, DMD
After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Joel Singer completed post-graduate training in Advanced General Dentistry at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he also served as Clinical Instructor. He established a private practice in 1988 while continuing advanced courses in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, including completion of the prestigious Advanced Ultimate Esthetic Program. Additionally, Dr. Singer was selected to serve as Clinical Instructor of Advanced Aesthetic Continuums at New York University to teach other dentists these advanced techniques. Dr. Singer has achieved Fellowship Status in The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) an honor achieved by only a small percentage of dentists, signifying his commitment to continuing education. He is also a member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) the premiere organization for continuing education in aesthetic dentistry. By attending the Annual Scientific Session of the AACD each year Dr. Singer provides the finest aesthetic results dentistry has to offer. The Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), provides training in the use of oral sedation. With this advanced training his office has safely provided “sleep dentistry” enabling anxious patients and those requiring extensive treatment to complete their necessary treatment in fewer, totally comfortable appointments. Dr. Singer has been a member of DOCS since 2000. Using exclusively mercury-free, bio-compatible materials since 1993, Dr. Singer is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) and has earned his Fellowship in the Institute for Natural Dentistry (FIND). He employs the safest methods for the removal of mercury fillings as per the IAOMT strict standards. He has also recently become a member of the International Association of Mercury Free Dentists (IAMFD) an association for dentists who are committed to the philosophy, concepts, and practice of mercury free dentistry.. Ceramic/porcelain crowns and onlays are fabricated and inserted at the same visit eliminating the need for uncomfortable impressions, temporary restorations and follow up appointments.
