About Jeffrey G. Light, DDS
Dr. Light completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California at Irvine in 1977. He obtained his D.D.S. degree at Loyola School of Dentistry in 1981, graduating in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Light completed a General Practice residency at Wadsworth V. A. Hospital in Los Angeles in 1982 and a Prosthodontic Residency Program at the San Francisco V. A. Hospital in 1984. Dr. Light has been in private practice in Sacramento for over 28 years. He treats patients needing crowns, bridges, dentures and dental implants. He has been treating patients with TMJ problems for over 28 years. He also sees patients with acquired defects related to cancer and other medical conditions. Dr. Light was active in the military, serving 27 years as a dental officer at Travis Air Force Base. He was Chief of Dental Services for nearly 10 years and was responsible for the dental health of over 3000 reservists. Dr. Light is retired in 2012 with the rank of Colonel. He belongs to the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Sacramento District Dental Society and many other national Prosthodontic Organizations. Dr. Light is a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) for the California Worker’s Compensation Program. He serves a consultant to the California Board of Dental Examiners and Delta Dental of California.
