About Jeffrey E. Karaban, MD
Dr. Jeffrey Karaban is a dermatologist providing medical care to patients in the Chicago, Illinois area. Dr. Karaban has been in private practice since 1983. He was born and raised in New York City and graduated with honors from New York University. He subsequently attended New York University Medical School in Manhattan, NY, graduating in 1979. Dr. Karaban completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Bellevue Hospital in NY and Dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, graduating in 1983. He became board certified that same year and is currently Section Chief of Dermatology at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Karaban is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology Society. He has served as Vice President of Chicago Dermatology Society and is currently Vice Chair of Dermatology Foundation. Dr. Karaban is well trained in all aspects of dermatology, and is completely knowledgeable of the latest dermatologic treatments. As a dermatologist Dr. Karaban and his associates believe in interactive doctor-patient communication.
