About Jean P. Font, MD
Dr. Jean Paul Font graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas in 2009, where he completed his otolaryngology specialty residency training and general surgery internship. Upon completion of residency, he pursued additional specialty fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. In Medical School, he graduated valedictorian of his class. As undergraduate, he completed a Chemistry Bachelor with honors from the University of Puerto Rico. During this time he performed research in both basic science and clinical science to advance scientific and medical knowledge in different areas, including otolaryngolgy. Dr. Font is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Academy of Otolaryngology including General Otolaryngology, Facial Plastic Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery since 2010. He serves as Clinical Professor at the Florida International University and Clinical Faculty of the General Surgery Residency Program at the Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami. Dr. Font has extensive minimally invasive sinus surgery experience, which is one of the primary areas of his practice. As he is fellowship trained, another area of great interest to Dr. Font is Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition he treats a diversity of complicated otolaryngology pathologies at the Level I Trauma Center at the Kendall Regional Medical Hospital and Coral Gables Hospital, where he also provides on-call coverage.
