About Janet H. Yueh, MD
Dr. Janet H. Yueh did her undergraduate work at Harvard University in Cambridge where she graduated magna cum laude. She continued her education at Harvard Medical School and earned her M.D. During her time in medical school, she was awarded the Doris Duke Clinic Research Fellowship and investigated patient access to reconstructive surgery after mastectomy for breast cancer. Dr. Yueh completed her general surgery and plastic surgery training at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. She then did additional training in orthopedic hand surgery at the Harvard Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Yueh is currently a hand and reconstructive surgeon at Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeons. She has privileges at Hackensack University Medical Center. She is known for her thoughtful bedside manner and clear explanations of complex medical issues. She believes in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Dr. Yueh is also an accomplished researcher and has written multiple papers and book chapters on hand and reconstructive surgery. She has presented her work in numerous conferences at both the national and international level. She has been active in health policy and community health programs, including work with Agenda for Children Tomorrow and Health Leads.
