As a GPR resident, his training was on medically complex patients, many of whom were undergoing cancer treatment in the main hospital. This helped him understand the importance of dental clearance as part of cancer treatment planning. Dr. Jim is also proficient in computer aided dentistry which is used in fabricating “Cerec Crowns”. He is looking forward to bringing that technology into his office in the near future. Dr. Jim worked for 9 years with a colleague who was a cardiologist and a dentist. This opportunity broadened his knowledge of the relationship between heart health and oral health. Dr. Jim has been in practice for nearly 15 years bringing a wide range of services for his patients, including dental emergencies, exams for medical / dental clearances and numerous cosmetic procedures. Everyday his goal is to help his patients achieve their best oral health and ultimately the smile that they desire. In Dr. Jim’s free time, he enjoys working out, swimming (ex-collegiate swimmer), reading, cooking, landscaping. He is looking forward to adopting a puppy and training him / her to be a therapy dog for patients that require that “extra courage from a furry friend”.
