About James M. Sheridan
Dr. James M. Sheridan is a board certified plastic surgeon in Long Island, New York, with an outstanding reputation that spans three decades of practice. Experienced in a wide array of surgical procedures, Dr. Sheridan provides the latest, most advanced treatments. His goal is to offer minimally invasive and natural techniques to help patients see personalized results.Dr. Sheridan’s extensive education began at the University of Illinois, Urbana, where he obtained a bachelor of science in psychology. Starting in 1978, he spent four years acquiring his medical degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His training continued at Chicago’s Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, as well as New York’s Beth Israel Medical Center and a plastic surgery residency at Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Following his residency, Dr. Sheridan earned a plastic surgery trauma fellowship at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. In 1990, Dr. Sheridan started in practice in central Illinois where he had an integral role in the development of the Carle Clinic’s Center for Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, an outpatient surgery facility. In 1999, Dr. Sheridan moved to Peoria, Illinois, where he focused on breast surgery and body contouring at Proctor Hospital. Since 2012, Dr. Sheridan has served patients at his private practice in Austin, Texas. He continues to focus on breast and body procedures.
