About James J. Gentile, DDS
Dr. Gentile began his private dental practice in Media in 1983. He maintains extensive training in dental prosthetic care, as well as general and forensic dentistry. Dr. Gentile began his collegiate training at Widener University, majoring in Biology and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1977. He entered dental school that same year at Temple University School of Dentistry. After graduating with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Dr. Gentile enrolled in the school’s graduate program in fixed prosthodontics. Prosthodontic specialty training establishes the practitioner with advanced skills and experience in case planning and treatment using dental prostheses. He completed his prosthodontic certification in 1983, at which time he opened his practice. Also in 1983, he joined the faculty at Temple University where he served as Clinical Associate Professor for eight years. Throughout his training, Dr. Gentile was an exceptionally involved student, holding office in numerous honorary dental societies and the recipient of achievement-based scholarships. He maintains this level of commitment to date. Recently, Dr. Gentile has gained public acclaim for his excellence in dentistry. In 2006, he was featured as one of “America’s Top Dentists” by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. In 2004, he was listed in The Best Dentists in America, as well as The Main Line Today Magazine as one of the Best Dentists in the Specialty of Prosthodontics.
