About Jae-Hyuck Kwak, DDS
In 2000, Dr. Jae Kwak earned an Engineering Ph.D. in electrical and bio-engineering. After working in the field for quite a few years, he realized he needed a career that enabled him to help others and connect with people on a personal level. When he was 33 years old, he returned to college. In 2007, Dr. Kwak completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. He completed a general practice residency at Memorial Herman Hospital. During the residency program, he received advanced training in providing dental care for medically and mentally compromised individuals in hospital settings. Dr. Kwak constantly strengthens his clinical skills and broadens the services he’s able to provide patients. Through continuing education, he has completed LVI courses in cosmetic dentistry. He has also completed many hours of postgraduate studies in dental implant surgeries and restorations, as well as dental care for anxious patients using Level II sedation. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Drawn to restorative care, Dr. Kwak desires to give patients beautifully healthy and stable smiles. He finds the greatest professional and personal reward when he’s able to successfully restore dental function and beauty for a patient, and increasing the person’s self-esteem and confidence. A native of Daegu, South Korea, Dr. Kwak has lived in Texas for more than 20 years and in the Katy/Houston area for a decade. When not caring for patients, Dr. Kwak loves exercising and playing sports, especially tennis and golf.
