About Gary Thodas, DDS
Dr. Thodas has been in private practice in the Bay Area since his graduation from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Dr. Thodas followed his father and uncle into the dental profession and has six dentists in his immediate family. Thodas dental care in the Bay Area dates back to 1932, a proud legacy. Dr. Thodas serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Dental Education Foundation, University of the Pacific. He is the chairperson and co-curator of the Institute of Dental History and Craniofacial Study. He also serves as a dental consultant to Skyline College. He is a trustee of the Frances and John Wahl Charitable Foundation. Dr. Thodas is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Mateo County Dental Society, the American Academy of the History of Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Thodas is married to Dr. Gabrielle Thodas whom he met in Dental School. She is an Orthodontist who is the Clinical Director of the Orthodontic Department at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. They have four grown children and nine grandchildren. Dr. Thodas enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing in the Sierras and raising Japanese Koi.
