About Fredrick Shaw, DDS
Dr. Shaw began his dental experience in the USAF working as a laboratory technician for prosthodontic residents at Willford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. After the military, he finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and dental school at the University of Tennessee-Memphis Health Care Science. After his residency program at the VAMC in Memphis and certifying in prosthodontics, he went on to Baylor College of Dentistry where he served as Director of Dental Anatomy and Occlusion. In 1997, Dr. Shaw moved to Austin, Texas, and established his private practice. In 2004, he was offered and accepted a year long surgical-track fellowship with the Misch Institute, sponsored by the American College of Prosthodontic Education Foundation. Dr. Shaw is currently a member of the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantology, International Academy of Gnathology, ADA, TDA, Capital Area Dental Society, and a member of the American College of Prosthodontics.
