About Frank J. Russo, DMD
Dr. Frank J. Russo graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1979. He has had his practice of general and cosmetic dentistry on Berdan Avenue in Wayne since 1987, and has been a resident of Wayne since 1982. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, many of them in advances in cosmetic dentistry. Dr.Russo has attained his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Russo enjoys running, golf, and playing the piano. Dr. Russo says: Even though I have been practicing dentistry for more than 30 years, I still enjoy it immensely. I appreciate the opportunity to have made friendships with so many of our patients and their families. I believe in the importance of maintaining optimum health, both dentally and in general, so our practice emphasizes preventive care. I like to think that we treat our patients the same way that we would treat members of our family. “My practice is focused on going beyond repair and prevention, to educating our patients on how they can achieve optimal oral health. We take our responsibility to help patients enjoy a lifetime free from dental problems quite seriously,” says Dr. Russo. “We make it a point to emphasize the connection between dental and general health.” This approach has allowed Dr. Russo to build a family of loyal and trusting patients—relationships he values in the office and in the community where he lives and works. “I cherish the friendships I have made with so many of my patients,” he says. He also values his amazing staff and hygienists, whom he credits for creating the friendly and warm office environment. Dr. Russo’s family-oriented practice provides patients with basic and restorative care, placing a special emphasis on cosmetic procedures. High-tech offerings include digital X-rays, laser diagnostics and a smile simulator to preview the result of cosmetic restorations. “With smile simulation, patients have a chance to see what their result will be before they start cosmetic treatment, rather than just hoping that the final outcome will be what they envisioned,” he says. Despite his more than 30 years in practice, Dr. Russo maintains a passion to be at the top of his field. He recently acquired FAGD status, an honor that represents extensive hours of continuing education under some of the top experts in the country. Dr. Russo is an alumnus of Fairleigh Dickinson University College of Dental Medicine and is honored to be recognized as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist.
