About Elana Celliers, DMD
Dr. Elana Celliers is a native of Cheshire, CT where she grew up since the age of five. She went on to graduate from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After working as a dental assistant for one year, Dr. Celliers attended dental school at the University of Connecticut where she received her doctorate. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.Through the course of her dental education and experience, Dr. Celliers has developed special interests within the field. She enjoys the artistic aspects associated with cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry, and has a particular interest with performing related procedures such as crown and bridge, and veneers. Dr. Celliers enjoys her work with patients of all ages but has a special place in her heart for children. Her work with the YMCA Childcare programs as a teenager allowed Dr. Celliers to develop a strong ability to connect with children. This stemmed into her love for providing oral health education within elementary schools and volunteering with the Special Olympics.Over the course of her career, Dr. Celliers has also been able to participate in programs, which help provide necessary dental care and education on oral health and prevention to those less fortunate. She has participated in CT Mission of Mercy and has traveled to both Honduras and Jamaica where she donated her time and services to those less fortunate. It is her hope to continue donating her time to provide dental care in similar communities both in the U.S. and other countries.In her free time, Dr. Celliers enjoys spending time outdoors, making pottery, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Celliers is a proud aunt and currently resides in Branford with her boyfriend, Tom.
