About Douglas S. Lew, DDS
Dr. Douglas Lew, a doctor of dental surgery, heads Bay Area Prosthodontics in Palo Alto. He also serves as a part-time clinical professor in the prosthodontics department of the University of California, San Francisco. A native Californian, Dr. Lew was born in Torrance and raised in Marina del Rey. He earned a degree in microbiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and graduated with honors from the UCLA School of Dentistry. He continued his training in Hospital Dentistry, Advanced Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at the UCLA Medical Center and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Hospital. During his residency, he also taught part-time at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Lew is a member of several professional organizations including: the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Lew delights in spending time with his wife and young family and enjoys bicycling, photography, skiing, welding, and travel.
