About Derek Kolander, DDS
Dr. Kolander grew up in Fair Oaks and is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in zoology. He also graduated from UCSF (University of California at San Francisco) Medical Center College of Dentistry. He graduated from UCSF with the honor of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and was awarded the Francis A. Sooy Chancellor’s Cup by professors and fellow students. Dr. Kolander was selected to serve a one year general practice residency at the VA in Martinez. He continues to actively pursue continuing education to keep up with what is best for his patients. Dr. Kolander possesses a warm and friendly “chair-side” manner and his patience and sincerity truly make a difference in his care.
