About Deborah Shiba, DDS
Having spent time in her father’s local orthodontic office while growing up, Dr. Shiba is no stranger to bright smiles. She and two other siblings were inspired to go into dentistry to continue the family tradition of giving patients confident smiles. Dr. Shiba attended the University of California at Berkeley for her undergraduate degree and continued on to the University of the Pacific’s Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Since then, Dr. Shiba has been busy building a friendly and informative practice in the Bay Area. She takes pride in creating lasting relationships with patients to keep them in their best dental health! In order to keep up with ever advancing techniques and technology, Dr. Shiba has taken part in programs such as UCLA’s Mini-Residency for Sleep Medicine and the Spear Education Center as a member of the Spear Faculty Club. Dr. Shiba is a Certified Bioclear dentist having completed the multi course training program in Tacoma, WA. She is a member of a Spear Study Club in San Jose, the Santa Clara County Dental Society, California Dental Association and American Dental Association. With a husband, two daughters, and two dogs, Dr. Shiba enjoys spending her time with them. She has been a Girl Scout Mom, Soccer Mom and Marching Band Mom, participating in the girls’ activities. She loves going to the gym (kettlebells!), trying new restaurants, baking new recipes, making jam with the backyard fruit, seeing Broadway musicals and checking out museums to fill her time.
