Dr. Fishberg has been recognized as one of New Jersey Monthly Magazine’s Top Dentists and Healthy Living Magazine’s Top Docs. Dr. Fishberg is a Jersey boy through and through. He was born in Bergen County, raised in Fair Lawn, East Brunswick, and Toms River, and graduated from Rutgers College, New Brunswick. After earning his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Fishberg completed a general practice dental residency at Coler Memorial Hospital and Metropolitan Hospital in New York City, where he received advanced training in the dental treatment of medically-compromised patients. Dr. Fishberg has continued his dental education by completing more than 1,000 hours of continuing education, while maintaining his membership with the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition, he has been a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society for over 30 years. Dr. Fishberg was also an initial member of the New Jersey Dental Association’s Forensic Dental Team and was on staff at CentraState Medical Center volunteering in their dental clinic until it ceased operations. Dr. Fishberg and his wife, Carol (a graduate of Manalapan High School), met while students at Rutgers. Now that their two children, Andrew and Erica, are grown, they have more time to pursue their passion for music by singing with the Brookdale Concordia Chorale and have sung at Carnegie Hall (3 times) and Avery Fischer Hall in New York City.
