About David E. Bank, MD
David E. Bank, M.D., began his education by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy at Yale University with the distinction of cum laude. He went on to earn a medical degree at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Bank's rigorous training included an internship in internal medicine at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center and a 3-year residency in dermatology at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital and Medical Center. Through dedication to the field of dermatology, Dr. Bank has earned many distinctions, including being certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a founding member of the Amonette Circle of the Skin Cancer Foundation. Early in his career, Dr. Bank became involved in FDA clinical trials testing medical and cosmetic treatments and products for the skin, hair, and nails. To this day, he considers it an honor to be the principal investigator for clinical trials conducted at The Center. Dr. Bank has been involved in the testing of BOTOX® Cosmetic, JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, treatments for pre-cancerous lesions and psoriasis, and many more advances. In this role, he gains first-hand knowledge of new treatments and medications as they are being developed. While he's frequently exposed to the ""next big thing"", the direct, in-depth knowledge he gains from the studies enables him to offer his patients only the options that are deemed safe, effective, and scientifically based.
