About Daniel Miller, DDS
Dr. Daniel G. Miller had been practicing Dentistry in Lake Norman since 2016, before acquiring Central Avenue Dental from Dr. Michael Berglass. Originally from Manassas, Virginia he graduated with honors from West Virginia University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. After college, he spent a few years working as a dental assistant prior to continuing his education at The State University of New York School at Buffalo of Dental Medicine. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he elected to continue his education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at SUNY Buffalo as well. During residency, Dr. Miller received advanced training in Restorative Dentistry, Full Mouth Reconstruction, Esthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry, Root Canal Therapies, Extractions and Wisdom Teeth Removal, Bone and Tissue Grafting, as well as the Placement and Restoration of Dental Implants. He practices comprehensive, conservative Dentistry for all members of your family. He likes to set patients at ease by thoroughly explaining treatment options for patients ensuring that they are making the best choices for their dental health. Dr. Miller is also highly trained in Sedation Dentistry, so that he can deliver treatment in the most comfortable manner for even the most anxious and fearful dental patients. He is certified to provide options from Nitrous (Laughing Gas), Oral Sedation, up to Moderate Conscious IV Sedation, so if you have a fear of the dentist be sure to ask him about what options he can do to make your experience as comfortable as possible, and even not have to remember having the treatment done! Dr. Miller is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), Charlotte Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), as well as the Greater Charlotte Seattle Study Club. Dr. Miller takes continuing education very seriously in order to provide his patients with the best treatment possible with state-of-the-art technology, materials, and techniques. He takes over 100 hours of continuing education a year compared to the 15 hours required by the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners to maintain a Dental License. Dr. Miller also takes the time to give back to those less fortunate and unable to afford dental care. He participates in the NC Medical Mission of Mercy outreaches, as well as providing free dental care for the ADA Jenkins Dental bus multiple times a month to help the local community. He volunteers at Veterans events serving those who have served our Country, as well as traveled around the United States with Remote Area Medical trips to various areas to help those in need. Internationally, Dr. Miller has been to the Dominican Republic and the Philippines on Medical Mission trips to provide care for those around the world who don’t have access to Dental Care. Dr. Miller moved to North Carolina to be closer to family, as all his siblings had moved to the Charlotte area during his training. He enjoys Backpacking through National Parks, Photography, Hiking, Traveling, and spending hot Carolina summers on the local lakes wake surfing. Dr. Miller is engaged to another Dentist, Dr. Shannon Hassin, who practices in Harrisburg, NC.
