About Christopher S. Justema, DDS
Dentistry is very important to me because it is not just about repairing teeth — it’s about people first and foremost. This profession allows me to meet new people from different backgrounds and learn something new from them every day. I enjoy helping people improve their smiles and confidence by improving their oral health. The care my team and I provide has the chance to make such a dramatic difference in our patients’ lives because of the many connections between poor oral health and systemic disease. It’s my honor to be trusted with their care. Originally from Grand Haven, I attended Michigan State University’s Lyman Briggs College, where I graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in human biology. I proceeded to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, and graduated in the top of my class with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2011. I developed a passion for dentistry during my time in Lansing, and enjoy the opportunity to improve my patients’ oral health, their smiles, and quite often, their self-esteem. I have been practicing dentistry since 2011. Participation in continuing education over the past several years has kept me up to date on the newest techniques and materials offered in dentistry. In turn, that has allowed me to provide the best care for my patients. I choose to participate in continuing education because I enjoy learning. Dental school provided me with the foundation to practice dentistry, but continuing education allows me to improve and stay up to date with the most current techniques. When I’m not practicing dentistry, I enjoy playing guitar, golfing, and spending time with my wife Rosalee and our son Ethan.
