About Christopher T. Chan, DDS
As a clinician and an educator, it is important for the dentist to be a leader and innovator in the field, but it is equally important to remember that each patient has unique needs and wishes.” Dr. Christopher Chan attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where he was a member of the Edmund James Scholar honors program. He received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a minor in the Spanish languages. He then received his formal dental training from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. After receiving his dental degree, he completed a three year postgraduate specialty training in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During that time, Dr. Chan received formal training in complex full mouth oral rehabilitation, digital dentistry, as well as implant surgery and restoration. In addition to time spent in private practice, Dr. Chan also holds a faculty appointment in the UIC College of Dentistry and serves currently as a Clinical Associate Professor working alongside DMD students with their training in clinical patient care. During his tenure in academics, Dr. Chan’s research has been published in the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Chan is dedicated to continuing education and is an active member of the Seattle Study Club as well as the Spear Study Group. Dr. Chan is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, American College of Prosthodontists, Chicago Dental Society, and Illinois State Dental Society. When not in the office, Dr. Chan enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children.
