About Chris Reger, DDS
Dr. Chris Reger has been a leader all of his life. As the president of his class all four years at Baylor College of Dentistry, Chris was known for excellent dental skills and also respected for his integrity. He is a life-long learner who continues to study and challenge himself to master the most current techniques. Dr. Reger cares about making people’s lives better through dentistry. When meeting Dr. Reger for the first time, patients often remark on his calming and friendly manner. He has a way of putting even the most nervous patient at ease with his kind and caring personality. Patients quickly learn that they are able to trust Dr. Reger to listen to what they have to say and respond to their unique needs. They are able to count on Chris for an honest, straight forward assessment of their dental needs. Dr. Reger’s practice is like a big family as people refer their relatives, friends and neighbors. Many patients actually look forward to coming to the dentist! Dr. Reger has a passion for making smiles happen. This led him to undergo the rigorous and extensive training to become a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Members of this prestigious organization are prepared to provide excellent care for patients desiring dental implants. Dr. Reger is able to provide patients everything from basic dental care to an amazing total smile makeover. Dr. Reger has been transforming smiles since 2005. After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004, Dr. Reger owned a practice in Dallas and taught part time as an adjunct professor at the dental school. His professional memberships have included the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association and Christian Medical Dental Association. Dr. Reger is a graduate of the Pinnacle Leadership Academy. Dr. Reger enjoyed his time in Dallas and met his wife there, but his love of the Hill Country and the people of San Antonio brought him back to the area in 2008. Chris is proud to be an 8th generation Texan whose fifth great grandfather, John William Smith, was Chief Scout of the Texas Army, courier at the Alamo and the first mayor of San Antonio. Dr. Reger’s search for a practice in the San Antonio area finally ended when he met the Slattery’s. Dr. Slattery chose Dr. Reger to care for his patients upon retirement because of Dr. Reger’s accomplishments as a dentist, his character, and his genuine care for each patient. Dr. Reger is committed to keeping the “family feel” at the office and retained all of Dr. Slattery’s staff when transitioning the practice. Still curious about how Dr. Reger interacts with patients? Ask one of the team who have been here for years: Lisa, Stacie, Janet, or Diane (who worked for the Slattery’s 13 years ago and has returned). They will be happy to share their thoughts with you. You could even ask Dr. Slattery himself, Dr. Reger did a crown on one of Dr. Slattery’s teeth in February! Our ""Reger Family Dental"" hope is to see your smiling face soon!
