About Charles A. Ray, DDS
Dr. Charles A. Ray III (Charlie) attended the University of Texas in Austin, followed by the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, graduating in 1970. After three years of service in the U.S. Army as a dentist, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. He returned to a full-time clinical teaching position at the dental school. In 1974, he began his dental practice on Mason Road. With over 1800 hours of post-graduate education, he qualified to receive the Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2007. Only 1% of all dentists practicing in the United States since 1954 have achieved this. With over 45 years of experience, Dr. Ray is a member of these dental associations: the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Ray also completed an extensive two-year dental cosmetics program at the UCLA dental school in 2001. Dr. Ray and his wife, Dinah, live here in Katy and have 10 wonderful grandchildren. They love their church family at Katy Community Fellowship where Dr. Ray serves as Trustee and Dinah is active in the Women’s Ministry. Charlie has a passion for photography and enjoys traveling extensively with his family.
