About Catherine Chiu, DDS
Dr. Catherine Chiu first became interested in dentistry as a high school student working part-time in a dentist’s office. After college she studied to be a dental hygienist but decided to apply for dental school instead. She loves being a dentist and takes pride in offering the kind of professional, caring dentistry that makes patients recommend her to their own friends and family. Dr. Chiu was born in Burma (now called Myanmar), but grew up in Daly City and San Francisco. In 1995, she moved to San Mateo because she liked the community and the beautiful weather. She wanted to open her own dental practice where she could provide high quality care and make sure that every patient was treated with kindness and respect. The team at Dr. Chiu’s office has worked together for many years now, and patients often remark on how friendly and professional everyone is, from the front desk to the dental assistants. The office motto is treat patients the way you would like to be treated.
