About Carol Mcgonigle, DDS
I was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. After returning to Seattle for dental school, I was ready for the desert and headed for Tucson, where I have been growing roots since 1980. Both my children were born here and are proud alumni of the University of Arizona. My husband, Bob, is a transplant from Boston. You’ll know him by the Red Sox t-shirt he is sure to be wearing. I have a Goldendoodle, Rudy, who is arguably the most spoiled dog in the world. My grandchildren, Hank and Eila, are the only ones with any hope of being more spoiled than my dog, although living in Atlanta makes that a challenge. I began my private practice in 1989. Dentistry is a discipline that requires a commitment to staying abreast of the constant changes. Thanks to my supportive family, I have been able to advance my post-graduate education with over 100 hours of continuing education annually for the past 15+ years. Learning the latest techniques and working with my dedicated team is what allows me to offer you my best. I am very proud to have been both a student and a teaching assistant at the Pankey Institute. At “Pankey,” the focus is on collaborating with the patient to discover together what the best plan is for him/her. I have learned that the most important service I can provide is to listen. This organization is one that advances the learning of dentists in this important and underserved area of health. We are committed to partnering with associated health professionals to treat mild to moderate sleep apnea and patients who are CPAP intolerant. In addition to the American Dental Association (ADA) and the state components (ASDA and SADS), I have held membership in many learning groups that have provided me with the educational support I need to stay ahead of the learning curve and provide excellent care to my patient.
