About Barbara Mendoza, Aesthetician Specialist
Barbara Mendoza, a licensed skin care specialist based in Texas, specializes in the treatment of skin irregularities like moles, tags, and cherry angiomas. Her passion for her work is fueled by happy patients and the relief from stress and self-consciousness that she provides them. She has had numerous patients be overjoyed with her work of tag removal and who thanked her for helping them regain their self-confidence. Instead of overselling her services, Barbara focuses on creating lasting and meaningful relationships with her customers by offering them honest advice about their skin troubles. Born in Barcelona, Venezuela, Barbara started her career as a para-medical aesthetician after studying Industrial Chemistry. After several years’ worth of practice in the country, she moved to Spain to expand her knowledge base and learn and excel in the contemporary European techniques. She founded BM Skincare in 2014 with the aim of helping people find the right facial treatment for them. One problem Barbara noticed during her early years in service was that many people tended to waste money splurging on products that didn’t work for them. As a result, they were left with worse skin than they started off with. The story of one young patient with acne marks especially hit home. The girl visited numerous dermatologists and aesthetics, but no one had taught her how to use the products correctly. Consequently, she spent a lot of time and money on products and treatments that never helped. Barbara helped her understand exactly what her skin needed and how to take care of it properly. Driven by her dedication to her customers’ skincare needs, Barbara developed her own skincare line in collaboration with an esteemed lab in Vancouver, Canada. The idea of launching her own range came from the time when she was looking for the perfect starting regime for acne prone teens. Her journey of delving into which ingredients could help the skin glow from the inside resulted in a series of products that promise to deliver one of her most important objectives for her patients: clear, healthy skin. She has also personally designed an active clinical facial to treat all forms of acne at their core. Barbara uses her own products for all her treatments and educates each of her customers about their skincare needs. Her skincare line includes cleansers, toners, mists, moisturizers, exfoliators, and other cosmeceutical products to treat all skin types and skin conditions including acne problems, rosacea, and psoriasis. Barbara places utmost importance to her customers’ comfort, which is one of the many reasons why her patients rave about and refer her in their social circles. She understands that facial beauty and healthy skin is often the crux of confidence, and people tend to be quite sensitive about the matter. This is why she focuses her energies into reaching into the root cause of the skin problems, educating her patients, and providing treatments in a relaxing, hygienic and friendly atmosphere. She only offers on-appointment treatment as she understands that her patients would need her undivided attention. When she’s not working, Barbara Mendoza can be found traveling, learning about new cultures, or spending time with her two lovely teenage kids who have affectionately entitled her the “cool mom”. She also enjoys listening to her favorite music whenever she can.
