About Asneiry A. Aponte, BS
Dr. Asneiry A. Aponte is an associate professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston. Since joining the faculty in 2010, he has focused on teaching predoctoral students. Dr. Aponte earned his dental degree from Los Andes University in Mérida, Venezuela, where he was first appointed as a clinical instructor in 1972 after completing his postgraduate studies. He subsequently moved through the ranks to become a full professor in dentistry. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Aponte served as an associate professor at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama, where he previously earned a master of science degree in dentistry (1978) and certificates for a prosthodontics residency (1977) and postdoctoral fellowship (1978). In 2008, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in maxillofacial prosthodontics.
