About Anita B. Skolnick, DDS
Dr. Skolnick has been a leader in dentistry with her early commitment, in the 1980s, to cosmetic procedures as an essential part of the practice. Dr. Skolnick was among the first practitioners to utilize tooth colored, bonded restorations routinely. She continues to bring the best in smile design technologies to benefit all her patients. Leading in dentistry also meant incorporating paperless technology into her office. She has employed digital radiography since 1998 and a completely integrated, computerized charting and office management system since 1999. This has allowed for seamless integration of information within the office as well as for patient information and specialist referrals. Dr. Skolnick has been listed as one of USA Top Docs’ “NJ Top Dentists” for three consecutive years: 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2010, she was selected as one of America’s Top Dentists by Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Skolnick graduated from the University of Rochester with honors with a BA in biology in 1975. She then received her doctoral training at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, graduating in 1979 with a DDS degree. Dr. Skolnick is a member of the ADA, the NJDA, and the BCDS. She actively pursues continuing education and has been a member of the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies for the past 20 years. Through Donated Dental Services, a humanitarian organization to help the disabled, elderly and medically compromised patient, Dr. Skolnick has volunteered her services for more than 18 years. On a personal note, Dr. Skolnick is devoted to her ever-growing family. She has been a staunch advocate for education and was an original founder and past president of the Gerrard Berman Day School in Oakland. She loves spending time outdoors, hiking, planting, and enjoying the natural world. Dr. Skolnick also enjoys classical music and opera.
