About Ameet Goyal, MD
It is often said that Dr. Goyal is “a doctor’s doctor.” Other physicians often call on him for his expertise, a true validation of his outstanding credentials and skill. Artful and attentive, he takes time to understand your needs and makes sure you’re completely informed about all of your options, both surgical and nonsurgical. His primary goal is to give you the most precise care and finest results possible, and he treats you as if you were a member of his own family. He even gives his phone number to each patient's family members in case they have questions about care and treatment. Dr. Goyal is a board-certified ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon by the American Board of Ophthalmology. That means he is trained in the complexities of treating all conditions of the eye as well as the delicate facial anatomy that surrounds the eye. He also makes recommendations about your overall health, not just your eyes. Dr. Goyal earned a BS from Vanderbilt University, where he graduated summa cum laude in psychology. Medical school followed at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, where he was AIMS representative and earned his MD. It was during his clinical rotations that Dr. Goyal discovered how much he enjoyed ophthalmology. He saw how important it was to recognize and treat systemic diseases and disorders – particularly since so many conditions manifest in the eyes.
