About Alan T. Poon, DDS
Dr. Alan Poon grew up in the city of Cupertino, California where he attended Monta Vista High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He then achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Southern California. During his time of study at USC, Dr. Poon was exposed to some of the newest technologies being introduced into the field of dentistry. He had the priviledge of learning about cosmetic and implant dentistry from internationally recognized dental faculty. In addition, while working in a mobile clinic, he had the opportunity to treat the underserved populations in Central California. Dr. Poon believes in a conservative and practical approach to dentistry. He feels great satisfaction in working with patients to plan treatment that is functional, esthetic, and economical. Dr. Poon is a member of the American Dental Assocation, California Dental Assocation, and Santa Clara Dental Society. In his free time Dr. Poon enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending time with his family.
